空气过滤器寿命的测试（filter life testing)

很多客户都希望能够知道所购买的空气过滤器的使用寿命。
下面是国外技术文献对过滤器寿命的一段论述。
filter life or dirt holding capacity is determined in two possible ways:
1.the test in run to s specified pressure drop and the time to that pressure drop is reported.
2.the amount of test dust trapped by the filter is measured and the filter is rated by its dirt holding capacity . often the dirt holding capacity is prorated to area of filter media in the filter and reported as g/m2 of medium or in some other form of mass:area ratio , this is important when comparing different media.
The time to pressure drop is often demonstrated by a plot. when using this criteria, one must be careful that the flow rate of contaminant feed is controlled very carefully. the dirt holding capacity is probably a more informative test. the test results may not reflect on the media , but rather on the filter construction. for example , in pleated filters ,the pleat count and pleat spacing may have more of an effect than the medium effect.
